The Streisand Effect and Life Beyond Everett / Accentuate the Positive!
Accentuate the Positive!
At 71 years of age with meetings and multiple tests at Mass General Hospital, what the wisdom of the ages teaches me is to accentuate the positive.
I make new friends on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis, and it is fun to meet / encounter different personalities and explore their lives. Finding out what people do for entertainment, be it movies or gaming or soccer, or treadmill and exercise, takes my mind off of attempting to interpret my nightly dreams! A new friend I met a few weeks ago is meeting me later today - people we get along with and investigate life with.
This morning I found someone stalking me on a Facebook page. I immediately called the ADA (Assistant District Attorney and Victim's Witness Advocate) and reported her libelous attack on me and untruth. Her brother and his wife both assaulted me and it is in the courts as of beginning of February. Thanks to the Everett Police Dept. and their fine work, and the quick work of the courts. They hijacked my Tenant Only parking space, which I legitimately have with Everett Housing and the husband and wife started hitting me and grabbing my phone, both of them in two separate instances, threw my phone on the ground. The phone died soon after, so I will file a civil suit against them for compensation.
Their family illegally started stalking me. The sister with her libel and some relatives, plural, from Pennyslvania (some HVAC loser claiming to be a "lawyer," a serious crime in Pennsylvania.)
That's all I will say. The Streisand Effect is what happened to Beyonce and Barbara Streisand, bringing attention to matters that they did not want discussed.
Hey, I am releasing two new compact discs, one the soundtrack to my film about life at Whittier Drive. It is very exciting. I can either focus on fighting with Trump-loving reprobates and morons, or put my energies on promoting my new release.
I modeled the instrumental CD after 1968's Planet of the Apes by genius Jerry Goldsmith.
You do the math. I am a record producer of over 50 years, and she is a woman of low self-image who needs to go on Bumble to find a husband. Sheesh, their inability to communicate, to articulate proper thoughts is not our problem. We have music to promote.
To understand the Streisand Effect, consider these key points:
- The Streisand Effect occurs when attempts to hide or censor information lead to increased public awareness.
- Named after Barbra Streisand, who tried to suppress photos of her home, inadvertently drawing more attention to them.
- It highlights the irony of censorship; the more you try to suppress something, the more it spreads.
- Social media and the internet amplify the effect, making information harder to control.
- It serves as a cautionary tale for public figures and organizations regarding their response to negative publicity.
- Awareness of the Streisand Effect can help in crafting better communication strategies.
