Hi, I'm Joseph A. Viglione, and I fight for elder rights and what is proper for those of us in the twilight of our lives.

 

As a citizen with no law degree (I am not a lawyer) with sheer will we have made changes in our community, supporting public access TV rights, and exposing wrongful conduct in city and town government.

Everett Housing Authority is retaliating against me because I do what is right for the seniors here. 

Elder abuse is a crime and there are some at EHA (the Housing Authority) who misbehave and bully elders. 

 There's a complaint pending at the MCAD and I have a lawyer for those issues. 

 He filed a retaliation complaint on EHA which ignored a cardiologist's request to ease off  on the legal issues (paraphrased,) and filed a truly bizarre "eviction notice" the day after a failed mediation, 

regarding a tragic individual who needs to be institutionalized, not disrupting Quiet Enjoyment that is  a Massachusetts law for everyone, not just elders. 

 Essentially, I was attacked, and have the video, and Housing decided to blame the victim  as they take delight and joy in elder abuse.

Legal Defense Fund needed for rent-paying Senior Citizen being sued frivolously by Housing Authority.

Joe Viglione is a 71-year-old elder with congestive heart failure and a broken arm. 

 

Everett Housing Authority takes his rent money and denies basic services like back hall lighting  that took months to repair, a shade for the front window, even not allowing the handicapped man 

to have a PCA (Personal Care Assistant) when requested in 2024, though a cardiologist later demanded one.

This is a political vendetta by the cousin of the ex-mayor, 

and her retaliation because Mr. Viglione caught her and her nephew violating the State Ethics law regarding posting political paraphernalia in Senior Housing. 

 When I took her into court via subpoena she committed what I call "perjury via counsel," 

refused to be truthful with the court, yet the judge knew that I - Joe Viglione - was telling the truth. 

 The Housing Director then went on a path of harassment and elder abuse 

that is downright chilling, along with her lawyer who has very unclean hands in this fight.

Outraged, she returned fire of the MCAD (Mass Commission Against Discrimination) 

suit on her and Housing with an eviction lawsuit, frivolous in nature, replete with her lies and her harassment of the victim.

Her lawyer is allegedly keeping the case alive for profit, though a judge on Jan 29, 2026, 

wanted them to end it. In open court the lawyer with the unclean hands refused, calling Viglione a 

"terrorist" to another judge in December and demanding sanctions. 

 The judge DENIED the crazed lawyer his outrageous demands on a senior. 

 Viglione is known worldwide as a rock journalist and music producer, but the pen being mightier than the sword, 

an evil attorney would call a decent man a "terrorist." 

 And that dirty lawyer laughs all the way to the bank at the elder's expense.

Viglione needs money for legal services.

My work was instrumental getting Governor Deval Patrick to remove the uncle of a mayor in Medford from the board of directors of Medford Housing Authority. I fought hard to get the L'Italien Report,  hidden from public view, to reveal almost three dozen Medford police officers engaged in wrongful conduct, many on the Brady list. This, of course, made me a folk hero with some of the senior hit,  and a mortal enemy of people who betrayed their oath of office. Shame on them.

 At 71 with congestive heart failure I still fight the good fight. It is not easy. 

I am asking lawyers, those who help seniors, and John Q Public to help me in these noble causes.
