A remote pre-hearing conference in the case of the State Ethics Commission vs. former Everett, Massachusetts Mayor Carlo DeMaria is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.The State Ethics Commission’s Enforcement Division alleges DeMaria violated the state's conflict of interest law by receiving and concealing up to \(\$220,000\) in inflated longevity payments and bonuses he was not entitled to. DeMaria has denied any wrongdoing, stating the payments were part of a local ordinance interpreted by the city council
