DEAR CITY COUNCIL AND NEW HOUSING BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS:

1)Hold the Housing Supervisor and her nephew, Anthony DiPierro, accountable
for the pigsty that is Whittier Drive while Lynn St. looks so beautiful here.
We pay high rent at Housing and get squalor in return from Anthony's Aunty
whom we are all afraid of and who terrorizes us on our birthday (well, at least me)
for $75,200.00 a year.

And why didn't Housing work with the state to put solar panels on the rooftops?
Wouldn't that have cost much less?  I don't know, just asking.

2)Housing Supervisor took gifts from me (I estimate worth 50$ to 100$, Bette Midler
records etc.) which we discussed in court (well, I did to the judge April 17, 2026)
and she shouldn't do that I found out after court.  

Fire her for cause.

WE CANNOT TAKE THESE QUIET ENJOYMENT ANNOYANCES


It is very painful to right today, I had surgery on April 25, 2026 and the days have been very
difficult these past 2 weeks.  Today I am 72 years young, Happy Birthday to me.
What keeps me going?  Friends, wonderful friends taking me to dinners on different
nights and driving me around to go shopping, do errands.

Last night at the gym someone said hello at closing; "Who are you?  I can't see you" I said

"It's Daniel."   "Daniel," I replied, "this gym is my family."

The manager called an ambulance after my fall....I went to the gym to shower off the blood,
but the blood kept pouring out....you can't wash off what is pouring out...." so the now former
manager (he moved on to a different industry after helping me) called the ambulance and
Mass General took very good care of me and operated on me that day  The oxy had terrible
side effects on this person who does not drink, does not smoke, does not do drugs (except
for prescribed ones now, and I didn't do them before all this heart failure and broken arm
stuff) ....anyway  Shelby told me to have a happy birthday at coffee hour this morning and
I replied "It is!  I'm breathing"    Thanking God for every day....
I am your de facto Tenants Union Leader 
fighting for the rights of elders.

 
While pollution from this equipment is the number one concern for folks in the state, the noise pollution from gas-powered leaf blowers is also a concern as units can create noise up to 100 decibels. 

While there are no state-wide regulations banning gas-powered leafblowers, there are a growing number of Massachusetts cities and towns placing local restrictions on the motorized lawn care tools.

One Massachusetts town just completed the final step in the phasing out of gas powered leaf blowers.

A process that began in  2022, the town of Arlington, Massachusetts approved a bylaw allowing for the gradual phase-out gas powered leaf blowers. The initial phase ran March 15, 2023 to December 30, 2024, which introduced seasonal bans on the use of GPLBs by commercial operators in Arlington, as well as restrictions on commercial use during certain times of day, and days of the week. The second phase went live little over a year ago on March 15, 2025, and included a permanent ban on the use of GPLBs by commercial operators in Arlington.
