If a mayor of 18 years truly loved the city of Everett he would have resigned a decade ago.
However, the horrid headlines about alleged corruption and an ex mayor begging for $5,000.00 checks for his alleged "legal defense fund" is an embarrassment to the rate-payers, the tax payers, the handicapped members of the elder community. The optics were bad when Carlo spent so much money on the election to nowhere 2025 - (triple what he allegedly owes) and lost in Spectacular Fashion.
I'm a proud progressive, but Trumpian Cousin Carlo is the type that gives us Dems a bad name.
Cousin Anthony DiPierro is nowhere to be found here in Ward 3! Until it is election time and he can scam the voters violating the ethics law and post his ugly mug in our laundry room, courtesy of his crooked aunty, and the dude who needs a face transplant, ex councilor Nick Saia, look, you have two things to be thankful to God for:
a)Carlo got kicked out by the voters
b)when you look in the mirror in the morning you don't see the hideous faces of Aunty Nicole and Nick Saia staring back at you. Go for the trifecta, and Keith Slattery didn't knock your front teeth out after saying "I Do."
When Carlo looks at his legacy he channels Trump and ignores Anthony DiPierro's racism, Aunty Nicole's crooked elder abuse - especially of this tenant, Nick Saia looking like an exile from the Emperor in Star Wars
Look, we all want things instantly, but the bright side is that Carlo's malfeasance is being investigated and he's not in office where he can cause more trouble. The embarrassment of Carlo and his crooked cousins is coming to an end with a thud. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
